LA PAZ, Tarlac – With the current learning modalities being observed in public schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Guevara High School successfully conducted yet another timely district In-Service training on Remote Learning using Microsoft Teams and Office 365 on October 12, 13 and 18 via Google Meet.
GHS teachers, including ICT coordinators of elementary schools and secondary principals of La Paz North District, registered and participated in the three-day webinar which aimed to equip the district’s teaching force with the necessary technical skills using Microsoft Teams and Office 365 in remote learning and instruction in the ‘new normal’. The training was also participated by Josephine M. Cojuangco Technical Vocational School of Mayantoc District.
“I am grateful beyond words knowing that given our current situation, the teachers and school administrators of our district still strive in creating ways to deliver quality education among our learners. Change is indeed a vital part of our profession and I am just thankful that you are all willing to embrace it,” said La Paz North District Supervisor Dr. Marylyn H. Pascua in her opening remarks during the webinar.
The resource speakers of the said training include Mr. Vergel P. Ramirez (Teacher III/ICT Specialist of Corazon C. Aquino High School), Mr. Darwin S. Nool (Teacher III/ICT Specialist of Estipona National High School) and Mr. Elpidio Y. Valdoz Jr. (Master Teacher I/ ICT Specialist of Guevara High School) who shared their expertise with the topics Basics of Microsoft Teams, Keeping Students Engaged Through Remote Learning, and Working with Slides and Files for Resources respectively.
The learners of La Paz North District are expected to receive their personal Microsoft accounts with learning packages to be utilized in their online classes.
